A closed letter to SRK!

First of all I would like to thank you from bottom of my heart for all the smiles and happiness you have spread through your movies (steeply gone down recently though, which is altogether different matter). I was a die hard fan and most probably it was to stay that way. But you had some other plans and executed them near perfectly thereby losing a dedicated fan. I am writing 'closed' letter to you because that is also the subject of this letter. How close are we to the reality, and more importantly how closed are we in our thought process. I was blessed enough to view your prophecy on Twitter townhall discussion with Rajdeep Sardesai. Truly and rightly said by you that 'people these days air words before thinking'. While I was rejoicing at deep thought you immediately negated that by proclaiming that 'there is extreme intolerance in India'. I sat down with heavy heart and gave thought to what you said and why you said. Unable to find logical answer to your utterance I now believe that, just as your contemporary you also dont have any righteousness. Jumping the wagon and claiming something about a Nation as lovable as India is not done Mr. Khan. I realize that it was your intelligence that had set up such high standards, and when you broke that expectation from your knowledge, I was convinced that you are just another bloke.

You claimed India as extremely intolerant, who is India may I ask. Its us, just like I dont tolerate any indiscipline from my subordinates, you also did not tolerate shirish kunder's swipe at Ra.one. Just as we hear in news that guns were fired in parking conflict in Delhi, you also did not tolerate wankhede gaurd's disregard for your stardom. It happens, we are part of that intolerant culture hence we shall accept it. Otherwise I dont see a reason why Kashmiri Pandits had to flee their home, north-eastern friends had to leave pune when they were repeatedly attacked. You must be aware of situations hindus are facing in pakistan and bangladesh, and please bear in mind its not because of government of the day but because of people of those countries. It is the task of prominent and famous citizens like you who can contribute to the cohesiveness of nation, instead of simply passing a loose statement and returning 'funded' awards. Everyone is well aware of the fact that few fringe elements are present in each community or society who are always ready to bring one down either on the basis of religion or caste or colour. That does not make our country intolerant and at the same time punishing such people is going to take us towards inhumane ways and ideas. 'Ignore them' is the most apt punishment for such antisocial elements. Please do realise that Irfan Habib recently claimed that RSS and ISIS are same, could he possibly make that comment while sitting in IS occupied territory, if yes they may be same and if it is a strictly no, Hallelujah that you are in INDIA!
Hoping that you will keep yourself strictly to making your brand of movies because for good movies we have hollywood and for loose statements we have more than enough politician.
A true fan!!

Lot have been said and written about the ability of indian cricketers on bouncy tracks. This topic has occupied enough space to draw attention and rightly so. There's hardly any doubt about the 'talents' of our heavily earning cricketers, not that I have any qualms about their hefty checks. But this "talented" tag shall trouble them, as much as it is troubling the followers, given the performances in big events. This tag should haunt them and they shall work hard to justify its usage and associated rewards. They have never taken responsibility..they all hide behind the formal leader, and when was the last time we witnessed a leader among the bowlers to lead the pack and bring them out of mediocrity. They don't want to win is not what is being said, but the little extra needed at highest level of international cricket to make it count is certainly missing. Mediocre efforts have no place in such competitive cricket. Dhoni's men have to brace themselves to prove that winning world cup(T20) wasn't a fluke. Hope they come forward and take charge as and when situation demands. They should also keep taking formal or informal inputs from the likes of sachin, dravid and laxman. Ipl has given them much exposure, enough to be well equipped with responsibilities and adjustments. Lets wait and watch what they have to offer in coming matches .Hope no one raises questions on their attitude again post match!!
